[W106] Aurore Courtoy: Phenomenological analyses of the proton structure: impact of some theoretical constraints

Hadron structure is successfully described by Parton Distribution Functions, nonperturbative objects that reflect specific spin-momentum characteristics of the quarks and gluons inside the hadrons. PDFs can be evaluated in fully nonperturbative frameworks and are ultimately analyzed in (global) QCD phenomenological analyses. Both approaches must account for first-principle and QCD-based constraints. In this webinar, we illustrate how those impact the phenomenological analyses with two specific examples: positivity bounds on the transversity PDF and quark counting rules for the unpolarized PDF.
