How to Break a no-go Theorem in Direct Detection

The direct detection of Dark Matter particles with mass below the GeV-scale is hampered by soft nuclear recoil energies and finite detector thresholds. I will present a method that allows to gain sensitivity to sub-GeV scale Dark Matter in conventional direct detection experiment and through nuclear recoils. The talk is based on arXiv:1607.01789.
